Materials/Techniques: Cottons, thread and sequin embellishment, tulle overlay; collage technique, machine quilted.
Artist's Statement: A friend taught this method of using scraps. Hers were more color washes, but I decided to "paint" a seascape, using the fabric scraps much as an impressionist painter would use dabs of paint. It sure was fun and I will make more!
Dedication: To Joan Clarke, a quilting friend of mine who just passed away.
