Artist's Statement: My father-in-law was diagnosed at the end of 1999. He came to live with us in 2000, and remained living with us until he contracted a UTI and was hospitalized in early 2004. He then had to go into a long-term care facility. He passed away just shy of 3 months later. During the time he lived with us, my mother was also diagnosed.
