Designer: Design is based on black & white drawing from TREASURY OF FLOWER DESIGNS FOR ARTISTS, EMBROIDERERS, AND CRAFTSMEN by Susan Gaber. I have coped the page that covers the right to use designs copyright free and will include the copy with the quilt.
Materials/Techniques: The central motif and background were painted with thickened Procion dyes. It is beaded and machine quilted. The piping and binding are from commercial fabrics and were applied using the Susan Cleveland's Piping Hot Binding method and tool. The backing fabric was hand dyed.
Artist's Statement: I painted the flower and saved it for something special — this is it!
