1580 - Love Letters in the Sand

Artist's Statement: Being from the mountains, my uncle and aunt loved the ocean. In fact, he proposed by placing a love letter in the sand for her to open. Every vacation after that day, he left love letters for her to find that proclaimed his love of her forever. She kept every one in an old beach pail and loved to reopen them through their 64 years together.
Dedication: In honor of my Uncle Bob who remains hopelessly romantic.
