Width: 9" Length: 12"

Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics, iron-on interfacing, silk rosebuds and leaves, 100% cotton batting, iron-on appliqué, sewing machine top stitching, hand sewing of rosebuds, machine binding and quilting.

Artist Statement: My grandmother, Margaret L., passed away in April, 2002 after suffering for years with this dreaded disease. She had five granddaughters which she called her "Rosebuds." She assigned her first, "Rosebud #1" because she was the oldest. My cousins were the odds and my sister and I were the evens. I clocked in as "Rosebud #4." Being a quilter for 20 years, I feel privileged to participate in this amazing program! "I love and miss you, Mama!"
