San Diego, CA USA
Width: 9.5" Length: 9"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton quilt fabrics from Paris Flea Market line surround an iron-on picture; embellished with perle cotton floss, lace, ribbon, glass beads (some coffee dyed to age), shell, glass, metal, & ceramic buttons, and bits of costume jewelry rescued from a thrift shop (pink bead strand, furrowed brown button and white beads on wedding lace are probably plastic); interfaced to support weight.
Artist Statement: I made this quilt to fulfill my $1000 Promise, my first crazy quilt after two wonderful embellishment classes at Vermont Quilt Festival and Road to California.
This quilt has a Split Sleeve.
This quilt earned $55.00 for the AAQI.
