Designer: I am participating in Carol Honderich's "Women of the Bible Quilt Project." This is a 54-week online study group of women of the Bible and their associated quilt blocks using Women of the Bible, a devotional book by Ann Spangler and Jean Syswerda. Carol sells patterns for the traditional blocks so that participant can make a block each week as they learn and meditate. This is one of the blocks I made for this project (and my quilt) but changed my mind on the colors.

Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric; machine pieced and quilted.

Artist's Statement: The traditional Inner Court block is for Anna, the prophetess, who waited in the temple for 50-60 years to see the Messiah. I hope that our wait for a cure is not that long, but I also hope that we can be steadfast in our determination, as was Anna.
