Materials/Techniques: Cotton tone-on-tone prints were used. Hand quilting was done using YLI Candlelight metallic yarn to represent the rays of the sun sparkling through the rainbow and the positive progress being made through research.
Artist Statement: I wanted to represent the wishes that a cure be found for Alzheimer's disease. I thought a rainbow reminded me of positive thought and wishes toward that end.
Dedication: To my dad who dedicated much of his life to scientific research and who I lost to Alzheimer's disease in 2012.
