Materials/Techniques: Painted background overlaid with a sheer synthetic, appliqué is from Russian upholstery fabric, trim and silk borders.
Artist's Statement: I have so much fun cutting out motifs from fabrics and then designing around the motif. Even though the focal point of this piece is Russian fabric, it has a feel of India.
