Materials/Techniques: Hand dyed cotton fabric and pearl cotton, cotton batting, machine pieced and quilted.
Artist Statement: Alzheimer's disconnects the brain thoughts making communication fuzzy and difficult. The beading is done to symbolize the Amyloid plaque that builds up in the spaces between the nerve cells. The cheesecloth symbolizes the tangles that build up inside the cells.
Dedication: Dedicated to my husband, Jeff, who was diagnosed in March of 2012. Thankfully, most days are good days.
