Artist's Statement: The butterfly is a symbol with different meanings for many people. I like to think of the butterfly as a symbol of the freedom we have to explore the vast universe, whether it be a quest for knowledge, a journey of understanding the unknown, a search for truth, or the pursuit of excellence. All we need is a curious mind, a thirst for answers, and a resolve to explore. Then, like a butterfly, spread our wings and fly upward, forward, and beyond.
