Artist's Statement: This is a mailable fabric postcard. It is a photograph of a conch shell. The conch shell is a decorative item, which becomes a musical instrument when a person blows into a hole located on the bottom of the shell. Blowing into the shell like you would a trumpet produces a soothing tone. A beautiful, harmonic sound is produced when different sizes of conch shells are blown simultaneously and the tones overlap each other.
Fannie NarteDedication: To my daughter, Ku'uipo.
