Width: 9" Length: 11"
Materials/Techniques: After slashing layers of fabric and machine stitching it to a heavy fusible interfacing, I added beads, hand embroidery and I braided wool yarn to set off the design which is made with 4 batik fabrics.
Artist Statement: What fun to play with a fabric slashing technique taught by Carol Ann Waugh. She creates large glorious pieces of wall art. I adapted her technique to an Alzheimer's Priority Art Quilt size.
Dedication: To each of us remembering to savor the happy times while we are able.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $39 for the AAQI.
