Indianapolis, IN USA
Width: 10.75" Length: 8.25"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics, raw edge appliqué and fabric paint pens with felt in the middle and loose outline machine quilting with clear thread.
Artist Statement: I was inspired by a childhood memory of the path from my grandmother’s house to my cousins house. A path doesn't have to be a physical thing that you can see, it can be across the hall or across the country. What if you could see the path that your text takes from your phone to another? Most Alzheimer's victims will take the path of the familiar past rather than the scary path of the present. It's what the disease does to their brains.
Dedication: To all the researchers who must have great imaginations.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
