Width: 8" Length: 11"
Materials/Techniques: Machine pieced silk charmeuse, hand quilted with a reflective polyester film.
Artist Statement: Before my sister Judy was overtaken with Alzheimer's, she loved singing barbershop harmony with the Sweet Adelines. After competitions and performances they would have parties called "Afterglows". An afterglow is defined as a light emitting or remaining after removal of a source of illumination or a comfortable feeling following a pleasant experience. This quilt is my visual interpretation of an "afterglow".
Dedication: Dedicated to the Sweet Adelines who brought so much warmth, joy and fond memories to my sister and me.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $85.00 for the AAQI.
