Width: 9" Length: 12"

Materials/Techniques: The squares are mostly vintage cotton, cut to form one-inch pieces. The batting is washable wool and the binding is satin. All stitching is done by machine, except for the back of the binding.

Artist Statement: After my mother died from Alzheimer's, my father and I started quilting. We finished 17 nine-patch quilts and this is the last of Mom's stash. The colorful squares amongst the grey cells represent the intrusion of plaque, which interrupts the functioning of the grey cells.
