Materials/Techniques: I used cotton fat quarters black background fabric to make the design pop. This is a paper-pieced design with straight stitch quilting lines in the corners to frame the design and a hand-sewn binding.

Artist Statement: I love paper piecing designs and wanted something to reflect the memory of a family friend.
