JoAnn Stowell
Longview, WA USA
Width: 11" Length: 8"
Materials/Techniques: Drawn from a flower in my garden. It is on PFD cloth and colored with Inktense pencils and water. I beaded the center with teardrop beads. It is free motion quilted and thread signed.
Artist Statement: Should we always look at things in focus? I wonder, sometimes it is better not to see all of the nicks and scratches. In my garden sometime there are a few weeds, so if you put those out of focus and just look at the flowers life might be just a little bit better. Now I'm going to have to work on that.
