Width: 8.5" Length: 11"
Materials/Techniques: I used cotton fabrics, thread and batting along with glass beads, the punch needle glitter thread, and the center part of a glittery piece of lace.
Artist Statement: This was a fun little quilt to make. I did some free motion stitching on the dark blue fabric in red thread, then I cut out fabric rectangles, two large and two small. After I hand sewed them down I did a little more free motion stitching in the two larger rectangles. That didn't please me too well, so I got out the beads and played, and ended up playing with beads in all four rectangles. There is a small amount of hand embroidery in two of the designs using punch needle glitter thread. On the back of the quilt is a separate hand quilted design to help hold the fabric in place.
Dedication: To those who are caregivers; you deserve to look out royal windows. Thank you for the services you provide each and every day to those who need you more than ever.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
