Tempe, AZ USAWidth: 9"
Length: 12"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric and thread, Warm & White batting, cotton voile computer printed overlay.
Artist's Statement: This is my visual interpretation of the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. The background ranges from 27 blocks at the top to just 2 at the bottom to represent the devastating loss of “pieces” of the victim’s personality. The printed overlay tells the story which is completely intact at the beginning, but gradually develops more and more holes.
Marcia MiddentsDedication: For Mary Ann Ulrey, a dear friend of my parents.
