Materials/Techniques: Vintage cotton hand towel background and binding, vintage cotton damask "Shamrocks" tablecloth back, machine embroidery pink heart with flowers and hand beaded embellishments.

Artist Statement: I cleaned out my mother-in-laws things after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and moved into a Care Unit. I stitched this beautiful design onto a vintage hand towel from her linen closet. I beaded the work to express her joy of life until this illness took her life in September of 2012. I believe this little quilt would have made her smile.
