Materials/Techniques: The center fabric is hand dyed, using an ink and shaving cream technique. The flower is made with a collection of scrap DMC threads that were bound together using a water-soluble stabilizer. The flower is embellished with beads and vintage buttons. I added piping between the center piece and the outer border and machine quilted.

Artist Statement: I am enjoying learning new surface design techniques and incorporating them into my art quilts.
