Materials/Techniques: I fused cotton fabrics and layered a bit of tulle over the water-colored fabrics. I embellished the shore with beads, small shells I got from the beach and a starfish and added seagull buttons in the sky.

Artist Statement: This is my first landscape quilt. Before my mother got Alzheimer's, she used to like to walk on the beach, searching for shells that had washed ashore.
