Materials/Techniques: Batik fabrics, with the central block and a border around it and quilted with clear thread.
Artist Statement: The center block (inside the blue edged patches) was a block by Nancy Cabot published in the Chicago Tribune in 1937 according to Jinny Beyer's Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns. I have tried to find more about the block, but so far have failed. If anyone knows why it has this name please let me know
