Materials/Techniques: Commercial cottons, velour, paint pens, reverse appliquéd with hand sewing around the outline. Flannel inner layer, quilted and sewn on a Pfaff Hobby 1142 home sewing machine.

Artist Statement: I never figured out why the rooster has to get on top of the hen house or the tallest post to do his crowing. The rooster always reminds of going to my grandmother’s house for Sunday dinner.
