Materials/Techniques: I drew the cranes freehand on paper and printed them on white fabric. Using a fine permanent pen, I outlined over all the pencil marks. I quilted the whole quilt by machine with a matching yellow thread.
Artist Statement: I enjoyed making this quilt! I hope someone gets it to enjoy the theme and the colorful fabrics. The cranes return after migrating south for the winter. They travel thousands of miles over large bodies of water in all kinds of weather. Their persistence inspires us as caregivers for Alzheimer's' patients. This journey is long too and full of obstacles. It is hard, but we do it for love.
