Materials/Techniques: All the fabric you see in this quilt is cut from the same piece of variegated fabric. I was inspired by the differences of the colors - just as there are differences of our years in our lives. I added beads and threads to embellish because my grandmother used to love to dress up before she became sick. Even after Alzheimer's, she would love to wear my necklaces - something I will never forget!

Artist Statement: My grandmother has Alzheimer's and when I look in her eyes I no longer see the woman I used to know. Instead now I see "Beautiful Bedlam". I made this quilt to represent that creative chaos in her eyes.
