Materials/Techniques: Faded denim jeans, felted wools, Perle cotton for buttonhole applique and embroidery.

Artist Statement: I adapted a pattern that I drew for a wool applique class and placed it on the pocket of some old jeans, leaving the pocket as part of the quilt. I had two pockets so I made two - one to keep as a sample and one for AAQI.
