Materials/Techniques: A mix of cotton prints, solids and batiks are used in the picture with raw edge appliqué. The border appears as a frame; quilted with clear thread.

Artist Statement: This river is strictly imaginary; I don't know of one exactly like it. The land above the river has broken away, so we get a better view of it and it must have collapsed some time ago, since bushes have grown in the break.
