Materials/Techniques: Cotton, flannel, the center circle is made from small strips from a man’s polyester tie and one plastic star. Raw edge appliqué, machine pieced and quilted.

Artist Statement: This little art quilt is the result of my trying to figure out a way to use striped fabric in a different way. Both the inner and outer circles are made from small strips of striped fabric combined with some decorative machine stitching. The size and number of pieces I had to work with determined the positioning of the colors.
