Materials/Techniques: I used cotton fabric and Shiva paints. Blue tape was used to mark off blocks and then paint was pulled onto the fabric from the tape with a stiff brush.

Artist Statement: My friend Debbie found paints and a book on fabric painting on sale, thought of me and purchased them. She gave them to me at our guild meeting. That night the speaker was talking about her painted quilts and the techniques she used. I was reading, in my new book, about the techniques she was showing us! I went home and played with the new paints and book and I made this quilt. I have great friends!
