Materials/Techniques: All layers are made of cotton fabric, including the batting and thread.
Artist Statement: First of all this little quilt is one I found and obtained permission to use as a guide for this little quilt from Emily Senuta's webpage banner. I changed the design to fit the December QAMC theme of "Ovals". There are three layers of fabrics; the off-white background with the pineapple/feathers design stitched in the center. A medium green flowered fabric was cut free hand in waves around the main design, I also cut the stems and leaves at the same time. The dark green fabric was cut the same way. After each layer I sewed around the curves to hold all in place. Flowers were embroidered with DMC thread, and seed beads were added for a little sparkle. Using white thread I sewed "rays" coming from the center to the outside edge.
Dedication: To all the quilters who are willing to share their design ideas with those of us who need help with getting our own creative brain thoughts going again. God Bless You All - And Thank You.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
