Materials/Techniques: The background is upholstery material. The image is made with sueded cotton. Hollow shimmer thread was use for the raw edge appliqué.

Artist Statement: I was asked why I am doing this. My answer, "Because I can." I am not a philanthropist or a scientist. Quilts I can do! AAQI has given me the chance to help.
