Materials/Techniques: This quilt was made with one of my favorite techniques: reverse appliqué. I drafted the pattern while on a quilt retreat at the ocean. The fabrics are all quilter's cotton and the batting is also cotton.

Artist Statement: I made this quilt in honor of those members of my family afflicted with early onset Alzheimer's and those with the gene who have it in their future. I chose a flower to represent our hope that there will soon be effective treatments and eventually a cure.
