Artist Statement: As a volunteer, I teach painting classes at Terrace Grove Assisted Living to the residents. My mother had dementia and lived in the facility for several years--so did my Grandmother and Aunt who had Alzheimer's. I witnessed the dedication of the staff and wanted to give a workshop on creative play that would remind the caregivers to also care for themselves. As a painter and surface designer for over thirty years, I make my living as an art museum administrator.
