As an international quilt judge and teacher, this gives me great pleasure to give of myself by making these quilts to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. Though dealing with cognitive dementia with my dad, it sometimes resembles the beginnings of Alzheimer’s. Patience and love are part of the medication.

A second chance to express my for the Asian flair that my father remembers from his past. He served in the Korean War, where he served in Japan for one year printing maps for the United States.

This quilt earned $70 for Alzheimer's research.
THIS QUILT WAS MADE IN HONOR OF MY DAD, WHO HAS COGNITIVE DEMENTIA. THE QUILT WAS HANGING IN THE IQA QUILT SHOW IN HOUSTON, TEXAS 2007. I WENT TO SEE IF IT WAS HANGING OR SOLD, AND THERE IT WAS, RIGHT UP THERE. AS I WAS POINTING TO IT, PAT ASKED TO SEE THE QUILT IF I WAS NOT GOING TO PURCHASE IT. WITH THAT, I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS THE MAKER OF THE QUILT. THIS LED TO TEARS OF HAPPINESS KNOWING THAT THE QUILT WAS GOING TO A WONDERFUL HOME IN COLORADO. AMI, AND THE COMPLETE BOOTH OF WONDERFUL PEOPLE WERE ALL CRYING TEARS OF HAPPINESS TO SEE THAT THE QUILT HAS GONE FULL CIRCLE. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN OFTEN, AND I WAS GLAD THAT I WAS THERE TO BE PART OF IT. THANK YOU AMI FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF THIS TERRIBLE DISEASE.
