Artist's Statement: As an international quilt judge and teacher, this gives me great pleasure to give of myself by making these quilts to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. Though dealing with cognitive dementia with my dad, it sometimes resembles the beginnings of Alzheimer’s. Patience and love is part of the medication.

Dedication: When my father was crushed after finding out that he could not buy my donated quilt in Houston because it was already sold, I went ahead and made him two quilts to choose from. This is identical to the one I made for him. His cognitive thoughts are clear from the Korean War, where he served in Japan for one year printing maps for the United States. This kimono quilt reminded him of those years.

This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles.

This quilt earned $70 for Alzheimer's research.
