Width: 11.5" Length: 8.75"
Materials/Techniques: I cut a flower motif from a piece of commercial cotton and fused it to a white background, along with several fabric strips. I added a fabric flower and embellished it with buttons and a silver trim for the stem. I also embellished the piece with embroidery, buttons and a couched piping binding. It is machine quilted.
Artist Statement: I made this quilt in memory of my grandmother, Nannie, who loved to grow a flower garden. She had dementia and died when I was 15.
