Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric background, interfacing, flannel batting, fabric glue. Cotton /poly and invisible thread were used with rough edge appliqué and machine quilting.

Artist Statement: Everyone should have a special place where they can let their mind go to relax, recharge, or just rest. Mine is a serene pond in a quiet forest with one water flower, blue skies and trees just starting to turn colors. The large flower in my pond was thread painted separately then appliquéd to the painted cotton background.
