Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric background, interfacing, flannel batting, painted canvas pieces, fabric glue, paint pens. Cotton /poly and invisible thread were used with rough edge appliqué and machine quilting.

Artist Statement: Every so often at auction I buy damaged paintings so that I can re-use the canvas. This painting had a lot of gray and black and was fairly small but by careful cutting and piecing I was able to get three little quilts from it. It was a bargain and I had a lot of fun figuring out how to use it.
