Materials/Techniques: Blue velvet background, interfacing, flannel batting, commercial material, mixed vintage fabric in the "geese". Each of the geese has its original batting and backing . Cotton /poly and invisible thread, rough edge appliqué, quilted by machine, and embellished with silver zigzag stitches.

Artist Statement: I found part of a vintage spool design quilt, but every spool block had at least one shredded side. I took them apart and then cut them corner to corner and decided to use them as geese. Since nothing matched, they are flying all over the place as if they are afflicted with Alzheimer's.
