Materials/Techniques: Cotton and cotton blend fabrics, Pellon, flannel batting, three large real Pawpaw leaves, artificial leaves, netting, packing tape, fabric glue, embellished with two glitter flowers cut from a t-shirt. Cotton /poly and invisible thread, appliquéd and quilted by machine.

Artist Statement: While raking and bagging leaves one day my husband brought some in for me to see the beautiful fall colors, so I decided to try an experiment and see if I could figure out how to use them in a quilt. I didn't want just the shape or color but wanted to use the actual leaves. I made three quilts using the method that I thought might work. I chose these leaves because they are the biggest ones from my trees.
