Materials/Techniques: I used a whole cloth polyester background printed with pink and white flowers. I took a rayon rose apart and just used the petals for my fantasy blooms. I reshaped the petals and used paint pens to add the yellow edges. I used a novelty yarn for the stems and glued on flat-back plastic centers, used cotton flannel sheeting inside, outline and free motion quilting with invisible thread and cotton thread.

Artist Statement: I didn't care for the pink artificial rose so it became two pink and yellow fantasy flowers blooming in my pre-printed pink flower fabric, held up by yarn stems and with flat-back plastic centers.
