Materials/Techniques: Whole cloth polyester background, cotton turtle and rabbit, paint pens, cotton flannel sheeting inside, outline and free motion quilting with invisible and cotton thread.

Artist Statement: Inspired by the famous children's story, I created my rendition of the big race. Do you remember who won this race? I made the turtle, the rabbit, and the large tree trunk using cotton fabric, paint pens and thread. I drew and painted the background freehand.
