Indianapolis, IN USA
Width: 7.75" Length: 10.75"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric front and back, flannel sheeting inside, cotton/poly and invisible threads, machine outline quilted with a traditional binding.
Artist Statement: One day while out with my husband he agreed to stop at our local thrift store so I look for interesting fabric for my little quilts. I was really excited when I spotted this huge dress that has these tribal people portrayed all around the hem and on the sleeves. It is extremely difficult to find good depictions of people on fabric and I have already made two little quilts using this dress fabric. I tucked material behind to get them closer together and in a neat row. You can make up your own story about where they are going and who's following who.
Dedication: To all the wonderful people that work in the retirement homes and centers.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $75.00 for the AAQI.
