Materials/Techniques: Fused applique and hand embroidery blanket stitch were used and then it was machine quilted. Embellishments include a three-dimensional flower, buttons and of course a feather and red tulle.

Artist Statement: The Red Hat Society has grown by leaps and bounds and is a great place to meet people and mostly have fun!

Dedication: This quilt is dedicated to my father, Richard Anton Carlson, who didn't live long enough to see an end to this dread disease, and my mother in law, Carolyn Jane Marsh Edson, who also has it----two of the most wonderful people in our family's lives. I am stichin' for a cure!
