Materials/Techniques: Appliquéd tree and scattered buttons. Repeated attempts at drawing a realistic tree morphed into this swirly version that just felt right. Buttons for leaves seemed to be a good match with the swirls.

Artist Statement: I made this quilt to raise funds for Alzheimer’s research and to support the AAQI.
