Width: 10.75" Length: 8"
Materials/Techniques: I drew the frogs on plain cotton fabric, colored them with paint pens, rough cut them out and then positioned them on the cotton printed background fabric. I put net over them to add texture then appliquéd them with black thread and outlined them with the silver thread. I used paint pens again to make the pads they are sitting on. I quilted around them and loosely around some of the leaves. The back and frame are both cotton fabric.
Artist Statement: This quilt was sparked by a plastic yard item showing two frogs under a mushroom. I decided to put mine back to back among the lily pads in the backyard pond. He hurt her feelings and is trying to get her to forgive him.
Dedication: To the Alzheimer’s researchers.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $50.00 for the AAQI.
