Materials/Techniques: Batik fabrics, except for the cats faces, from a couple of theme fabrics and it is quilted with clear thread. The design is my own, but I have used a pattern for the star from Judy Mathieson's book, Mariner's Compass Quilts, with her written permission.

Artist Statement: Some of our family's pets are cats. We enjoy them and care for them and actually make fools of ourselves over them sometimes. They add a lot of cheer to our lives. This is a happy quilt honoring them.
