11,741 - Losing My Memories

Bonnie Burns
Vancouver, WA USA

Width: 8.5" Length: 11"

Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics, cotton thread, fusible, bead, long arm quilted.

Artist Statement: This quilt was made for a small group challenge using the fabric with the circles as the challenge. My Dad is in a facility suffering from Alzheimer’s, the institutional floor is representative of where he lives. I have had it here for 2 years not wanting to send it in, it seems so cold when I look at it, too brutally honest, but if it can raise even a little money, I will be happy.

Dedication: To my Dad, Homer C. (Tex) Jackson.

This quilt has a Picture Hook.

This quilt earned $55.43 for the AAQI.
